Finding common waters – curious conversation in a coracle. Melrose, Scotland

Coracles are ancient boats, used on rivers and lakes across North Wales and Scotland. They represent an intimate connection between people and the environment, in their making and in their use.  The Conwy coracle was unique (well, unusual at least) in that it was designed for two people: a perfect space for conversation.

We invite you to a Curious Conversation in Melrose, hosted in or around the  Conwy Conversational Coracle, (Oracl Cwrwgl Conwy), a community-built, willow, ‘basket weave’ coracle from North Wales.

Your conversation will be hosted by the Salmon of Knowledge – a wise and ancient character from the tales of the Mabinogi.

Conversations are fun, gentle experiences, designed to give you a taste of a way of relating to each other, the river and river beings with curiosity and openness. Together we will find our common waters!
