Find and make your own colour from what nature offers, and create low cost, non-toxic and zero waste inks and dyes.

Artist and eco-therapist, Caroline Schofield will offer an afternoon workshop demonstrating how to create various colours with alder. There will be an optional walk to the river at 12pm to meet with alder and gather materials before the workshop starts at 1pm.

Making your own art and craft materials is a way to creatively connect with the natural world on your doorstep, local heritage and indigenous plants and trees.

We’ll be learning this wonderful technique alongside exploring our relationship with freshwater communities in the Conwy Valley as part of the Gofod Glas: Threads of the River community textile project.
